This is the final month of our year-long themed journey through the eight aspects of the spiritual life, and the final piece is “Justice”. Put in larger terms it is the work of putting our beliefs in action in the world. We talk about it as Unitarian Universalists around the country plan to gather at our annual General Assembly but this year suspending most of our business-as-usual to educate, serve and witness to the human rights violations in the state of Arizona. What about this work shapes us and what parts does it shape? Where does it lean too far into self-righteousness instead of humble, faithful service? How do we do this work as it was meant to be done?
