I think we tend to think of forgiveness as something we do around big wrongs – infidelity, violations of our bodies, thefts of all kinds, cruelty. However, everyday there are small aggressions, hurts and transgressions, that we either find our way through or allow to come between us. What is that work about? I will call it micro-forgiveness, and it may be the most important forgiveness we do.
