Voices from our children and youth who have grown-up and moved out into the larger world.
Kathryn Kosmider, former co-leader of our Youth Group and summer Religious Education coordinator, is working for Teach for America in Phoeniz, AZ. She is now a member and a youth group advisor at the UU Congregation in Phoenix (http://www.phoenixuu.org/). Kathryn writes, “This summer I will be teaching English at an afternoon school for children in Flora Tristan, Peru, which is located in southern Peru. I applied through an organization called Helping Overcome Obstacles Peru (HOOP). I will be working as a teaching assistant. The school offers English classes, homework help, and recreation activities like sports and crafts. I have created a webpage where I can accept donations for my trip.” If you’d like to learn more, visit: http://www.gofundme.com/kathryn. Kathryn is the daughter of Suzanne Patnaude.
