Step 1: Read Marilyn Sewell’s great article for the Huffington Post on climate change, civil disobedience, and the call for action and political will! Learn how Unitarian Universalists are voicing their concerns and leading change.
Step 2: Make your commitment towards affecting change. What would you like to see happen towards climate change? Make a commitment and work with UCS members and local interfaith people who care. Specifically, UCS Green Earth Ministry projects are working on renewable energy and zero-waste.
Step 3: Make your commitment a daily practice! They say that great change happens 15 minutes every day. In September, our website will launch daily practices for personal, congregational and community-wide change.
Step 4: Mark your calendar. This fall there are some big events. In mid-September 2015 in Washington, DC, there will be a Moral March for Climate Action. Let us know if you’d like to join this fantastic movement. In December 2015, the UN Summit on Climate Change will be happening in Paris. Be ready to share your voice with our political leader to give them the will to affect change.
