Join Beacon Humanists and friends for drinks, critical thinking, and lively conversations at Skeptics in The Pub. This month Dr. Brian Regal* will shed some light for us on the Jersey Devil. Since colonial days this creature has been said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of New Jersey.
Let’s lift a glass to this legend as we consider what may be the real story behind it.
We’ll be meeting at Marco Polo (527 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ 07901) on Monday, October 23, at 8pm. No admission fee (it’s good order a drink and/or food), and not a family event. It’s no problem if you don’t drink alcohol, as they have other beverage options.
*Dr Regal is an American historian of science, skeptic and writer, and is assistant professor of the history of science at Kean University in New Jersey. He is also the author of Searching for Sasquatch: Crackpots, Eggheads and Cryptozoology.
