Access ACS is Beacon’s online directory. It allows congregation members to maintain their own contact information, so that their email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses will always be up-to-date and available to other members of the congregation and staff.
If you have already created an account, click here to login
If you encounter problems or glitches, we ask you to contact Brian David by phone or email with your questions or problems.
* This is only for congregational purposes and not be used for commercial use or non-church related issues. Please keep our membership protected.
To create a log-in:
Please go to the Access ACS website and request a log in: https://secure.accessacs.com/access/memberlogin.aspx. Once completed, you will receive an email asking you to create a login and password. With your login & password, you can go back to that link and log in.
*You should use the email address that we have on file for your congregation record (where this email was sent).
To review and edit your contact information and profile:
Log in to ACS Access using your browser or smartphone. In the section “I want to view”, click My Complete Profile. Next, click Contact Information. You can add or edit your contact information by clicking on the pencil icon located to the right of each section. PLEASE NOTE: Changes to your information must be approved by the database manager and will take up to a few days to process.
Set up texting from ACS:
Log in to Access ACS and in the section “I want to view” click My Complete Profile
Next, click: Contact Information
If there is a cell number there already, click the pencil to edit.
If not, to the right of Phone Number, click Add, and add your cell number.
Click the Receive Text Messages box.
It will ask you for your phone carrier, so choose from the list of options. A text will be sent to your phone asking you to opt-in to receive text messages by replying “JOIN”, and then texting will be set up.
The smartphone app is called ACS ChurchLife. It works with Access ACS to provide congregants with quick access to other member’s info. Download it wherever you normally get your apps from. Use the same login information that you created for Access to login to ACS ChurchLife.
*Please note: If you are a member of a group and would like to send a message to the entire group, please login to Access ACS and NOT ChurchLife. Follow the directions below for sending out group texts and emails.
Community Groups/Small Groups Feature:
If you are member of a small group/community group, you can use Access ACS to send out group messages via text or email, download and print group rosters, and create mailing labels for the group.
Sending out group emails/texts:
To send out a message to the entire group, login to Access ACS and locate the “My Groups” section in your homepage. Next to the name of your group, you will see a drop-down menu that says “I want to…”. Click on the drop down and select either Send a message (email) or Send a text.
Tip: It is better to use a computer/laptop to send group messages, as the email client will be very small on your smartphone.
Once you select the type of message click on “Go”. The email client will open up and you will be able to customize your message before sending it out. Please note: You cannot send out attachments using Access ACS. After finalizing your message, click “Send Message”.
