Becoming a Member
We invite you to become a Beacon member. We are a covenantal, non-creedal community, meaning we are about right relationship, not right belief (members are not required to profess a certain belief in order to join). As members, we take shared responsibility in living out our mission to be a radically inclusive community that feeds the human spirit and heals the world.
We expect people seeking membership to attend our “Becoming a Member” Workshop. In 2019, it is offered January 20th, March 24th, April 28th, June 23rd and August 11th. You’ll learn about membership, stewardship and how to get engaged at Beacon. You can register here.
You become a voting Beacon member by signing the Membership Book, participating in the life of the congregation, and making a financial pledge on record. You must be 16 years old or older.
Signatures & Celebrations!
Gather with other soon-to-be members during Social Hour to officially sign the Membership Book and celebrate with the larger community. No speeches required! Just Raise A Glass in Celebration!
New Member Celebrations typically occur the first Sunday of every month at 10:45 am in Fellowship Hall. Please contact Rev Emilie Boggis, firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join our community.
