Our potential as Beacon depends on your generosity. Your contributions to our Operating Fund faithfully tend this Beacon of love and liberation. Together, we bring Beacon's mission to life: our Operating Fund provides resources for our worship, adult faith formation, lifespan programs for children and youth, our commitment to widening the circle, pastoral care, music ministry, social justice ministries, staff, facilities, and in-person and virtual programming.
A Moral Document
Through our stewardship, we affirm that fulfilling the mission of our congregation and our greater UU movement is a guiding principle in our lives. Beacon is an inherited trust, and as stewards we care for it in our time, to honor those who came before us and to build a legacy for those who will follow us. Our annual budget is a moral document that shows what we value and how we hope to live in the world.
Beacon’s Once-in-a-Generation Opportunity
While we’re excited to also be raising money at this time for our Capital Campaign and this once-in-a-generation opportunity to re-construct Beacon’s home and shape its future, it is critical we maintain support for Beacon’s Operating Fund, which provides financial resources for all of Beacon’s ministries and programs. If you are able, please consider increasing your annual contribution by 4% to help us adjust for inflation and to provide fair compensation to our staff.

If you would like spiritual support in aligning money with your values, please watch emilie’s recent sermon from our March 12 service about money. Please also feel free to reach out to Beacon’s stewardship team or chaplains.
Make a Contribution
- Complete the financial commitment form online or by returning the card you received in the mail by April 30, 2023. This allows Beacon to forecast our budget each year. (Printed cards are also available at Beacon.)
- Fulfill or make a gift toward your annual contribution by setting up an account (through Vanco) for online payments here or clicking the below. Beacon cannot make changes to your Vanco account; only you can do that.
- If you would prefer to make your gift by check, please write “Annual Giving” in the memo line so we may credit that toward your financial commitment. Checks may be sent to or dropped off at Beacon, 4 Waldron Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901.
