Erika Malinowski

My name is Erika Malinowski and along with my husband Michael and our four-year-old son Stanton, we were welcomed into Beacon two years ago when we moved here from California. My very first impression when we walked in the door was of light and friendliness, from the people who first greeted us to the warm smiles of the people next to us as we sat down. Even as we’ve moved to remote services during the pandemic, Beacon still has been a touchstone in our week and an anchor that has helped me stay connected to the rest of the world. Whether it’s Dr. Tuli reaching out to tell Stanton when Shanti the frog is going to be in services, or helping with laundry for Summit Warm Hearts, or Rev. Emilie recruiting me to stretch my talents in new ways, Beacon is a place where I feel valued. I am so glad that my children, both Stanton and a pair of twins incoming in January, will have the support of a loving and vibrant community as they grow.
