Dear Beacon:
A colleague asks every year: “If ministry doesn’t work out this year, what food truck would you launch?” I (Rev. Emilie) would never launch a food truck. Cooking isn’t my thing. But clearing out an attic? I’m in.
I know, I know. Most people avoid their attics. Their basements. Their closets. I love nothing more than pulling everything out, sorting it, eliminating what you don’t need, and organizing it so you can actually use your stuff.
Our beloved building at 4 Waldron Avenue needs a good clear out. Our amazing facilities team, headed by Brian David during the pandemic, has kept our building clean and operational. However, it’s like the building was entombed on March 15th, 2020. It also needs to be reset to welcome our community back on August 1st!
And there’s nothing that builds community like a clear out.
Mark your calendars: July 27 - 29th for Beacon’s Great Clear Out

If you’ve been avoiding your attic or basement or closet, procrastinate a little bit longer by joining Beacon’s clear out. Who knows? It might motivate you to get started. Maybe you’ll make a new friend and make a pact to clean out your personal spaces together.
It all gets started on July 27th!
With a faith known as Love,
Dr. Tuli Patel and Reverends Emilie & Robin
