The Gift Economy
A gift economy relies in part on the act of giving without any immediate expectation for reward or return. We are high in the season of giving anxiety. Robin Wall Kimmerer, botanist and Director for Center for Native Peoples and the Environment, offers us an insightful and renewing way to look at gift giving and receiving. Join us to take a breath of fresh air and center into our UU value of generosity.
Program for children and youth: Programming for PreK - 5th grades is at 9:30 and 11 AM. Children begin in Sanctuary (main level). Grades 6 and up meet at 695 Springfield Ave at 5pm for our solstice service.
