Hugo's Vision Walk

Get Ready for Hugo's Vision Walk & Ice Cream Party on June 4!

Register by May 28. Rain Date: June 18

On June 4 at 11:15 AM, get ready for a Vision Walk from one Beacon home to another.

Did you hear Marilyn Pfaltz's incredible story about her late husband, Hugo, who grew up in our congregation. Watch her talk here.

He regularly walked from his Summit home to his office. On that walk, he would dream about a home for our community where we would have enough space. One of those walks led him to the American Red Cross building.

It's time we follow Hugo's lead and have a congregational Vision Walk from our historic sanctuary at 4 Waldron Avenue through downtown to 695 Springfield Avenue.

After the Flower Communion service on Sunday, June 4, we'll head out the doors of 4 Waldron Avenue at 11:15 AM, and begin envisioning what we hope for in our new home down the street. All ages welcome. Walkers, runners, bikers, and drivers welcome!

When we arrive, the Urban Cone truck will be there to serve up a delicious cone of ice cream. There will also be games and activities.

We need to know how many walkers/drivers we will have register here.

We could also use a few volunteers (especially drivers to drive people back to 4 Waldron) so write to capitalcampaign@summitbeacon.org and let us know you can help.
