DCoR is a program of facilitated discussions about race, equity and systemic racism in our country and communities. DCoR has been designed to promote awareness, self-reflection, connection across differences and an increased understanding of race and structural racism. These Dialogues offer a curriculum of readings about the history of race, equity and racism in this country. The Amistad Bill (A1301), which became law in 2002, calls on New Jersey schools to incorporate African-American history into their social studies curriculum. Three Things You Can Do:ACQUIRE a better understanding of the AMISTAD LAW AND CURRICULUM RESOURCES ASK those in your local school district if they are abiding by the Amistad Law and what evidence they can provide.ADVOCATE for consistent, evidence-based implementation of the Amistad Curriculum in your school district.
