Dismantling Myths Underpinning Racism - October 13
Read and then join the Summit Interfaith Council Antiracism Committee on October 13, at 7 PM, for a discussion of The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together, by Heather McGhee (in-person and virtual). McGhee's best-selling book shows how the concept of race has been weaponized to divide people and warp social and economic policy in a way that hurts everyone, and how we make progress and reap a "solidarity dividend" when we discard the zero-sum analysis of race and work together around our common humanity. Hosted by the Summit Interfaith Council Anti-Racism Committee and the Summit Free Public Library.
